My mom -in-law used to make what she called "mother-in-law tongue "pickles. She cut them in long strips and then added the required ingrdients and canned them. I have almost all of her recipes and this recipe isn't included. Does any one remember these pickle? They were not pretty to look at in the jars but they really tasted good. She made these in the early 80's about the time Russ and I got married. Thanks for any help you may give me.

My grandma made a semi sweet pickle almost bread and butter that she called talk of the town. They looked sort of the way the sandwhich slices look today. She hot packed them with cup less on the sugar for the bread and butter and less mustard seed. If this sounds like yours I'll get the recipie. Gloria in AZ
