How delightful. I will have to that with the guys. The Llucky Penny cards wer a big hit. I gave them to folks at the coffee shop. We go there to minister to the people of the area. They were so happy at the little gift. The one waitress got teary and said she knew GOD had sent me. My DH just loves gifting small items of surprise, so he was so happy. BUT I had nothing for them to play or do. At Valentines I left in the seats big bags that had heart papers and lots of things inside the gifting bags. I put a sign that said hearts for my sweethearts. They both got teary eyed. My special needs son is 34. Sometimes he is 8 sometimes he is 16. Today he went to town with the neighbor guy who just got his drivers license. Something he has not done before. I almost danced ajig. Thanks for the sneaky Leprechaun. He is going in the book. :>)

AAhhhh!
The sneaky Leprechaun leaves your kids stuff mixed up doing things like cans in a school bag, turning clothing inside out, peeing green in the toilet if you don't share one with your kids, turning their desk chair upside down.....all to keep them from looking for the little pot of chocolate coins hidden in a shoe or I have a small cast iron kettle for dips that I use.
My daughter is Special needs and at 30 still loves the game! Almost as much as I do. We even set traps for him and this year the basket moved! Lucky for me it was one of the cats as I heard the little buggers are mean as raccoons when cornered!

Hello Mrs. TJ Strum, I have also looked for the print outs that would be jsut for a holiday section, however I have not found one. I will search for some and let everyone know. I just made my own out of lined paper. But a nice printed list would be helpful to the eyes. Blessings and thank you for the heads up.

Hello Elizabeth, Jackie and Tammy.
Jackie I would love to see the yarn angels or a how to make them. I am always on the look out for new and fresh ideas So dive right in dear. If we get started now we can have a whole choir by the advent season.
Elizabeth I would love to know what the sneaky Leprechaun is about.
I fix a snack sack with a little treat that has a bag topper. This year it had a penny card and a chocolate kiss and the topper said
a shammrock for luck, kisses for love may you always allow the protection by the LORD above. Happy St. Patricks' Day
The mother of the group I gave to got a shamrock pin cushion as well.

The pin cushion was a felt affair out of a circle I drew around a tuna can two circles. Then I traced out of green felt a shamrock. Then I put the shamrock in the middle of the top felt circle and sewed it down and then sewd the two circles almost together, I stuffed the cushion full and then finished the sewing. It took about 15 minutes. It took longer to put the bag toppers on the sacks. LOL I made a small button flower pin by drawing three different sizes of shamrocks out of paper with green ink and then cut around them and then taped them to pipe cleaners twisted the pip cleaners together and then tied a kelly green bow with a safety pin.

Tammy dear girl, I was in the same place as you once were. There are many places on the web that offer you printable pages for the binder.
But lets start with how I did mine.
three ring binder , dividers, lined paper, hole punch, plain paper, and marking pens
The three ring binder has a plastic front that you can slide the picture of you choice front and back and the spine of the binder also has a place for a picture. I picked some scrap booking paper that I could print at home
I printed a lot of paper of the rose design. Two were in card stock.
Then I hole punched some of the plain paper.
I have a get me up routine,
take pill, take blood presure, take sugar level test, take shot, test flowmeter, take pain test by moving the joints that usually hurt and mark on the scale the pain level, take the second pill, then go to the bath room, weight myself, swish the toilet, wash the sink, brush teeth, wash face, comb hair, oil face finger nails and toes, check feet while oiling them, write the weight in the same book as other results sheets, put night gown under pillow, pull up bedding and make my side of the bed, dress, stretch as in the doctors orders take last of the before breakfast pills open door and then let the animals out the front door. push the coffee start button,
go out and walk all the animals, get coffe for husband and myself and then set on porch to enjoy the morning and prayer for the day that is beginning

That is my get up routine. I have a morning routine, and afternoon routine, an evening routine, and a go to bed routine.
I have to write out everything because I was ran over and backed over by a semi truck, pavement, me truck and my head got cracked and I have trama aphesiha, so I sometimes can't remember. There is a page for each of the section of to do's for the day
Then I have a list of the weekdays and the main chore for that day
Monday wash Tuesday etc,
Then the week in the month has a page to list what goes on in that week
1st week clean the entrance and porch and the patio and the hall and the laundry 2nd week is the kitchen etc
The next section is on the instruction of the how to do the house work. I just got this from Melissa in the challenge party she is doing right now.
The nest section is on the holidays. I put little things that look like the holidays on the divider. That section has the year divided into months so I can write down who has a birthday in the month. l have my sister's godmother on March 17 because today is her birthday. I list the anniversaries as well. That way I don't forget anyone. After the dates list is the Christmas card list of who to send to and the address of person.
Nest is the gift section with the sizes and the desires of the person and their collections. I.E. my cousin who is an evangelist had his Willhmington's Book of the Bible stolen. I noted it and when we just happened to be at a discount store that sold books I remembered that he would like another. The normally ninty dollar book was on sale for seven. The gift items are listed in two places so it works by haveing the big book and a list that is in my purse holder.
Next section is the how to do section of the I would like to try.
Then the address section is next with names, address, birthdays, anniversaries, phone numbers and how they got into the binder.
Then the yellow pages, Florist, garden center, horse shoer, insurance man, savings man, bank, emergency numbers, hair saloon, an barber, yarn shop, quilt shop, tire store, mechanic, dentist group, PCP numbers

Then the if we have an emergency what to do in case of section.
The medical section is for myself and my husbanc and the meds we are on and who the doctors are and where they can be found. This also has a card in the wallet for both of us.
Advanced direstives and the trusts are listed as to where you can find them and with whom.

The garden has a book of it's own. The yarn and crafting section are moving to a book of it's own that will have patterns in slide pouches.
Holiday recipes are in the main book as copies.
Copies of scrach recipes are in the book just incase we can't get back home as it were. This book took me a long time to make. Just getting started will give you a lift. Melissa has some great printables for the book on the main page of Virtuous Woman. click and you go there.
Just keep on asking and we will help you through so you can live simple.
Blessings

Before I send in a craft idea i thought I would ask first. It isn't a hard or fancy craft but they make the nicest little tree ornaments or for putting on a wreath. There are many things you can make with these little yarn angels and I would love to share the pattern.
I also would like your prayers. I am taking classes from Koinonia House and these are wonderful Bible classes. I ask prayer that I will make the Lord proud of me that he allowed me to get a scholarship. Thank you in advance for your prayers.

I shop all year around for gifts too. When we go out of town always trying to pick up some thing no one else has for gift bags...like horseradish jam or garlic mustard.
We are going on a bus trip to Lonaberger & I know they have cute small bags.

I am still in need as to how to really set up my household booklet and add a whole holiday section...HELP
Gloria Jacobsen Comment by Gloria Jacobsen on March 17, 2010 at 2:42am
I have the main holiday planner for the big household book and the one I keep in my purse during shopping trips and yard sailing dazes. It helps to streatch the budget and then I put things into a gift box. Like sister likes cats and I bought a cat tea pot. It's in the gift box for one of three holidays for her, anniversary, mother's day and her birthday. The tea pot will be put with green tea, her fav and some of my cookies and if I decide to give it to both of them, I'll ad a candle and two small plates and napkins I've edged. All that for under $5. With postage that's just under ten. My big planner has the divider in a winter theme with snowflakes and a country church with snow. Sometimes my creative gets carried away. heh heh heh
