“Go Ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”
Matthew 16:15
Each person you meet is a child of God and should be treated as such. There is more to being a Christian than simply attending the local church once or twice a week. Before you get snippy with the grocery clerk, or frustrated with the repairman, remind yourself you are talking with a someone God loves. And if you do something or say something you know was wrong, go to the offended and ask forgiveness.
If we ask for God’s guidance on a daily basis, each morning seeking God’s wisdom, He will provide a way to show His love to someone else. Asking God to send someone our way that needs the hope that is only found in our Savior really does work. There are many ways to witness. Most Christians are not ministers. But all Christians can minister to those around them.
There are as many ways to witness with others on a daily basis. Here are some ideas:
1. Take five minutes to write a quick note to someone you noticed missing from church. By keeping a supply of blank note cards, stamps, and ink pens in a pretty box or in a desk draw, you can quickly and easily brighten someone’s day when they open their mailbox.
2. Keep a variety of Christian literature in your home and in your car, to pass on to those you meet.
3. Bake an extra loaf of bread, muffins, or cookies when you are preparing them for your own family. Drop them off at your neighbors house after work.
4. Invite someone without a family to dinner or to share an evening with your family.
5. Compliment someone you come in contact with who looks like he needs cheering. And remind him that God cares!
6. When God works a miracle - no matter how small - share it with others.
7. Pray before your meal when eating out.
8. Have a listening ear.
9. Always be ready to give your testimony.
10. Tell someone who is hurting that you will pray for them - and do it!
