Words of Wisdom

Whether you are shopping in town or visiting a relative there are times when your patience is tested and you find your temper flares. Sometimes a short reply seems to be the best response, but think before you speak. Ask yourself, Is this what God would have me to say in this moment?

 It is easier to bite your tongue than to take back words already said. A virtuous woman does not need to raise her voice in anger or criticize another person. Part of becoming a virtuous woman is learning to control the tongue and speak with respect. When was the last time you found yourself asking for forgiveness for something you said?

 A virtuous woman begins her day with the Lord. Use that time to ask God to help you speak with wisdom and kindness to your family, friends, and those in your community. Remember that “a soft answer turneth away wrath, but grievous words stir up anger.” (Proverbs 15: 1) The next time you are tested, give a soft answer and speak with wisdom!
