Would You Change?

So, I was watching the Today Show this morning and Tracy Chapman sang a song called Change. The song began with the words…

 If you knew that you would die today,
If you saw the face of God and Love,
Would you change? Would you change?

 As often happens, my thoughts were turned to God’s will for my own life and what I was doing to hender my relationship with Him or what things I needed to change to truly become the woman he would have me to be.

 I have asked women this question before, but it never hurts to ask it again… and again… and again. If you knew without a doubt that Jesus would come in the clouds 6 months from now, what would you change about yourself, your attitudes, your habits, your relationships?

 Because the fact is, Jesus is coming soon! We need to live like He could return tomorrow! We know not the hour, but the hour is at hand.

 Yes, we are all busy. Yes, we have to live our lives. But there is always something we can improve. Whether it is spending regular time in prayer, or making sure that we have family worship every day with our children, or being examples of Christ to our unsaved loved ones… there is something you can do today to make your life a light.

 Remember that being a virtuous woman is not about being a super woman, or about having a perfect life. Being a virtuous woman is about striving each day to live for HIM. Begin your days with thoughts of His love and end each day with thoughts of His love. God is love and that love should pour out from us in everything we do.

 Even the Proverbs 31 woman made mistakes. We don’t read about them, but we know this because she was born a sinner - just like you and me. She was handed the same opportunity for salvation that is handed each of us. But with each mistake, she realized how precious her Saviour was and just how much she needed Him. With each mistake came a plea for forgiveness and a plea for strength to do better the next time.

 Think about your days and what things you can do to live a life filled with joy and spread the good news to your family and friends that the Lord is coming SOON!
