Profile Information

Tell us a little about yourself.: My name is Christy. I have been married to a wonderful man for almost 16 years. We have 3 fantastic children-Zac(13), Natalie(10) and Caitlyn(7). I am a preschool teacher at a private Christian preschool. I love to travel (my favorite place is the beach), read, and scrapbook.

What is your favorite Bible Verse?: It's hard to pick a favorite, but I guess the ones that mean the most to me is Psalm 139:1-18. To know that God knows EVERYTHING about you, even the deepest darkest parts, and still loves you is so amazing.

What is your favorite book?: Do you mean book of the Bible or just a book to read? :) I love to read so I'll answer both! My favorite book in the Bible has to be the Psalms. For "other" books I love anything from Jannette Oake. I think I've read every single book she's ever written.

What is your favorite homemaking task? Why?: I enjoy doing the laundry! There is something about the sound of the washer and dryer that is soothing-except when the jeans get wrapped around the spinner and the whole thing goes dancing across the floor!:) and I try to fold clothes as soon as they are out of the dryer so they are still warm. Then as I put it all away I think about how I am blessing my family with clean and organized clothing and I say a prayer for each person. I do laundry almost daily and it's one of my favorite parts of the day.

Share your testimony with us.: I met Jesus when I was just a little girl. It seems like I've loved Him forever. I was so blessed to have a grandmother who took me to church and told me stories from the Bible. Knowing how special those early memories are to me I happily work alongside my husband who is a children's pastor and pray that God will use me to lead children to Him.

Do you have any prayer requests?: I have family members (brothers and sisters) who are not saved. Please pray for them.

Hello everyone! My name is Christy. I have been married to Stephen, a wonderful man, for 16 years and we have 3 great kids-Zac(14), Natalie(11) and Caitlyn(8). Other "members" of our family include a sweet kitty named Smokey and Jasmine, our Jack Russell Terrier. We are a family who loves to play, pray and serve together. We are active in our church where my husband is the children's pastor and I enjoy helping him. I also teach young children part-time at a Christian preschool. In my spare time I enjoy creating scrapbooks, curling up with a good book and traveling-especially to the beach.

I am looking forward to meeting all of you ladies. Thanks to Melissa for creating this site and giving us the opportunity to create friendships and network with other Christian women.

At 12:32am on February 13, 2009, Kim T said…: I go to New Life Baptist Church in Odenville, AL. My children go to a small Christian school in Birmingham. They ride the bus 30 miles and there are 40 kids from the Moody/Leeds area that ride the bus there...our youth pastor drives the bus and he teaches at the school along with his wife and our pastor's wife (his mom)
I have MANY unsaved relatives that live in Kimberly and have lived there all their lives...they dont go to church anywhere and every year at revival we have visitors from a church in Kimberly...I think its a Methodist church...Kimberly is beautiful ...I pass there going to my dad's home in Cullman alot.
