Whew, has it ever been crazy around here!

My birthday has come and gone...it lasted 5 days! My husband and family really went all out this year! I'm so glad it's over! lol

We got our internet and telephone back. It's amazing how not having some of the things we've become used to can change your life. Okay...I admit that DH and I are spending just a bit more time parked on the couch in front of the "tube"....but we're not just sitting! The first evening, I actually cuddled! Well, i don't know how much I'll be around for a little while. We've had to make some hard choices and internet was one thing that wasn't on the "have to have" list....

It's almost the end of my children's first week of school! The older three have been reporting great days! Youngest met his teacher yesterday (well, re-met, she was my DD's Kindergarten teacher too), and he did SO AWESOME! To brag just a little....she asked him to count blocks, taking them out of the box and placing them on the table. He counting to 21! WITHOUT a mistake! WHOO hoooo! She said she was only looking for 10!

A few nights ago, my husband and I sat watching a spider starting it's web right outside our livingroom window. It was dusk, everything dark except a beautiful grey-blue sky. We could only see the spider against the lighter sky...we could tell nothing about the spider, except that it was of good size.
