Tell us a little about yourself.: I am Saved and Sanctified and I wouldn't have it no other way. I have a wonderful husband. I pray that the Lord will bless us with a child in the near future. I love the Lord and I won't take it back.

What is your favorite book?: The Holy bible

What is your favorite homemaking task? Why?: Crafts. It gets my creative juices flowing; Oh and baking. I love to create new desserts.

Share your testimony with us.: I have been saved since May 2005, but before that in December 2004, the Lord spoke to me and told me to be celibate as I was going to school. I said yes, but I didn't get saved right away. I felt that the Lord was dealing with me because a few months before that a friend and co-worker invited me to go to our boss church. Our boss was getting remarried. I hesitated at first, but I decided to go. I have been to several churches and I was raised in the church, but I felt no conviction until I came to this church. The preacher was preaching on sin and how God require you to live holy and he was backing it up with scriptures. I didn't join the church right away but for some reason I kept visiting. My boss was very happy that I was coming but I wasn't going to join the church because of him. I made up every excuse in the book for not joining, but the Pastor never bother me neither did the members, they showed me love and they treated me like I was already a member. I could call the Pastor and he would pray for me. Finally in May 2005 I made up my mind to get saved. Getting saved was the best thing that happen to me. I totally had a renewed mind. I was one that had to look good on the outside but nothing was going on in the inside. I thought it was going to be hard to let go of the things I had pleasure in like secular music, but I started to Fast and Pray and one day I came home and I went through my CD's and I decided to go to the music store and trade them in for gospel music. The ones I could not trade, I threw them away without a second thought. I did however kept what I considered clean music, but when I tried to listen to them from time to time, I couldn' t get in the habit of continuing to listen to them. The Lord has even convicted me so that I can't just buy any gospel music because some is not lined up according to his word. Clothes that were not modest, I threw them away also,(If it wasn't good enough for me, it wasn't good enough for nobody else). I saw myself desiring to stay in the word, wanting to be around seasoned Saints. I felt good in my soul. I knew I couldn't keep myself, I needed Jesus to work on me. I'm striving to go higher in the Lord, because I haven't made it yet. I strive to die daily in self so that the Lord can lead me and guide me. I encourage anyone who is struggling with something to Fast and Pray and let the Lord lead you. Fasting is a way to show the Lord that you don't love no food or beverages more than you love him. I am a living witness that it works but you have to have a made up mind to do it and for the right reason. The Lord kept me so that my first kiss was on January 5th 2008( My Wedding Day!) I was truly a born again virgin. For any single sister who maybe struggling in this area, I encourage you to keep in your mind that you are a Queen and you are waiting for God to send you your King. You are worth waiting for and if a man can't wait on you, he's needs to step and get out the way for a real man to come forth, because once you give in, it changes everything. I wish things would have been different growing up. I would have waited, but the Lord is using me now to tell women particually the young women to wait on him. Love yourself first and make sure the man that is coming to you love the Lord more than he loves you. Always keep Matthew 6:33 in your heart and let God do the rest. God Bless.
