Well...I'm convinced that this silly little girl is waiting for her Nana (my mom) to get her before she makes an appearance....I've totally come to terms with this....so still waiting and whatever I guess.....

I can totally understand where you're at! The last few weeks are the hardest, and with my third I had labor start and stop 3 times in 2 weeks! I'm sending my prayers and hoping the best for you! Hang in there!

Nikole I want you to rest in the knowledge that the Lord has created you to be pregnant and to give birth in His time. You need to realize that your body will enter into labor when your baby is ready to live outside of you. In the meantime you need…

Profile Information

Tell us a little about yourself.
I am wife to a wonderful, hardworking Marine, and mother of one with another on the way!! God has truly blessed me with my husband and son. I am now a stay-at-home-wife and mom...which has always been a heart's desire. My mother was able to stay at home for a time with us while we were growning up, and I always felt God laid that desire on my heart at a very young age. I am SO grateful!
What is your favorite Bible Verse?
My favorite passage is Psalm 121. I look up to the mountains- does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed, he who watches over Israil never slumbers or sleeps. The Lord himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night. The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.
What is your favorite book?
I don't know that I have a favorite, but right now I'm really enjoying reading Home Comforts by Cheryl Mendelson
What is your favorite homemaking task? Why?
I LOVE folding laundry!! My family likes to keep the temperature down and I just love taking nice warm clothes out of the dryer and getting warmed up!!
Share your testimony with us.
I became a Christian around the age of 8. I attended a home-VBS that our church supported. At the invitation, I raised my hand wanting to know more about God's gift of salvation. After VBS the teacher took me aside and lead me through the "Romans Road" and I accepted Christ as my Savior. My dad proceeded to "grill" me for about a month afterward, just to make sure that I fully understood the decision I made. Through the course of my life, I have made my fair share of mistakes and wanderings away from the Lord and His leading (which include a first/failed marriage) but God has blessed me through those short-comings, as I have my beautiful boy because of it. And now we have a wonderful husband and dad as well. God is Good!
Do you have any prayer requests?
I currently feel that my ministry is to my family and to the other military wives that I come into contact with. My husband and I haven't been married very long, but through our courtship, he's told me of countless cases of marital strife and destruction and infidelity that runs rampant through the military experience. My prayer is that through our example and ministry, I will be able to reach out to other wives and help them gain the strength needed to survive this special calling. I also just found out that my folks are planning to sell their house, after having lived there for more than 10 years. It is a great decision and a successful sell will allow them to get out of debt and move closer to my dad's dad who is ill. Please pray that the final touches of remodelling go well and the heart of the buyer is prepared and feels called to their current location. Thanks!!!

I'm so sorry to hear about that. I completely feel for you though. About my hair...lol, that picture was taken last summer. My natural hair color is blonde, and in November I got the urge to dye it brown. So, I now have blonde hair, but I'm always the one taking pictures so I never have new pictures of myself. I kind of miss my blonde hair! Anyway, hope you're feeling okay. Have a wonderful week!

I'm so glad that your appointment went well. I love it when I have upbeat nurses. They always seem to make my day a little brighter, well, until the end when I'm miserable...lol. My husband usually can't make it to my appointments either. Keep me updated with how you're feeling. I actually felt the baby move from outside my belly last night. It kicked pretty hard. My husband wanted to feel, but it never happened again. Have an awesome day!

I went to the doctor today and waited for almost 2 hours to be seen. I was the last person in the waiting room although some people got there after me. My bladder almost burst. I have gained 15 pounds in total and 14 of those pounds were put on in the past 2 months because I only gained 1 pound the first 3 because I couldn't eat anything. My doctor told me to slow down and watch what I eat. Guess I should...lol. We did an ultrasound and according the measurments I'm 18 weeks and 5 days so my due date has moved from July 31 to August 8. I almost started crying. I live in Southeast Texas and we get hit my hurricanes quite often and we usually start having to evaucate for them in August. Plus, I just got my degree in elementary education and no one is going to hire a brand new teacher who has to have a c-section and be off for maternity leave for at least 3 weeks after school starts. The baby's head measured the correct size, but it's legs were a little on the short side, but my first baby was short (18 in) and I was the same and still am short (5'1). So, I'm a little upset that he's going by that. Then to make things worse, the baby was facing my spine with it's legs closed. So, we have to wait another month to find out. I cried all the way home. My husband just laughed at me and told me to enjoy the fact that I got to see my baby. He's right, but when you get all this news thrown at you at once and then the doctor tells you that you're gaining too much weight then emotions start flowing. He has no clue. Anyway, hope your day is going better than mine. Maybe I should just sleep it off...lol. Talk to you later.

This pregnancy has been an experience. The first 3 months were horrible. I never had morning sickness, but I couldn't eat much because I was nauseated the entire time. I slept a lot too. I was extremely tired the first three months which was different from my first pregnancy. After the first trimester was over it was like a switch had been flipped. I feel 1000 times better. I have definitely caught up with eating though. I eat way too much, but it's like I have a never ending pit of a stomach right now. I crave fruit (specifically watermelon, strawberries, and grapes), chocolate, and french fries dipped in chocolate shakes from Wendy's.

I will hopefully find out what the sex is on Thursday and I'm so excited. We have decided on names. If it's a girl (which I'm hoping for) her name will be Kimber Leigh (Leigh is my middle name and my aunt's name is Kimberly). If it's a boy then his name will be Lucas Jon (Lucas is my husband's mother's maiden name - she passed away a few years ago and Jon is my husband's middle name). We will call him Luke though.

So, how far along are you?
