Profile Information

Tell us a little about yourself.
I am a wife, homemaker and mother to Five Blessings. I am content to stay at home and am enjoying this journey of learning how to manage a Large Household! I enjoy scrapbooking, photography, hiking, travelling and sewing.
We are attachment style parents who cloth diaper, co-sleep, extend breastfeeding and tend to use mainly natural organic products. I enjoy learning new things and am eager to making my home a lovely restful haven for our family and friends.
What is your favorite Bible Verse?
"And Joshua said unto all the people [of Israel], . . . choose you this day whom ye will serve; . . . but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord" (Josh. 24:2, 15).

And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. Deuteronomy 11:19
What is your favorite book?
Created to be His Helpmeet by Debi Pearl
What is your favorite homemaking task? Why?
I really enjoy doing the Laundry. I enjoy working with my 7 year old daugher as i train her all the details of the job and i also enjoy the blessings of serving my family in this simple but necessary job! Hanging all cloth diapers on the line and folding baby clothes is so fun too!

Gearing up for September

As the summer winds down school preperations are on the top of the list around here. This year we will have 3 in school! Caleb is starting Junior Kindergarten 3 days a week while Moriyah and Isaac will be in full days.
I am concentrating this week on waking all the children Early to get their bodies adjusted so when school does start it wont be so hard. As much as I've enjoyed sleeping in all summer it will be great to get back into a routine and have a fresh start on the day.
This week we are h… Continue

New at this!

I am hoping to start this blog in hopes of recording and documenting memories and thoughts of this journey to becoming a fit helpmeet to my dear husband, godly mother and a homemaker.
As a busy wife and mother to 5 yound children the days are full and long gone are the days of writing in a diary so maybe this will aid in the need to jot down and write about the interesting (or not so interesting!) moments in our lives.
well i must get back to the schedule and switch the laundry and pack a picnic… Continue

Hi Nikiyah, I just wanted to welcome you to the site. I spent my early childhood in Haliburton Canada, how far is that from North Bay. If the two towns are anything alike your children will have such fond memories of that fresh crisp air, and wild rasberries. I hope to get to know you better, God Bless.

Niki, you can add songs from your own music by using the "Add Song" link above on the right hand side of the page under where it says Hello, Niki!

Or... you can create a playlist at places like playlist.com where you select songs, arrange them in the order you want and then use the code they supply you with. You add the code inside of one of your text boxes.

To change your theme, you will look for the link "Theme" under your member photo on your page (upper left hand side).

I am hoping to get some tutorials up one of these days, but I have not had time to work on it!

I am so glad you are enjoying the site.

Thanks for asking. So far in my pregnancy I had a difficult first trimester, but now two weeks into my second trimester I'm much better. Enjoying food I had all of a sudden disliked, and going about doing shores in the honor of God and my husband which I had been too tired and ill to do...I'm very well and so is my husband.
Hope to get to know you and other women here, that I may learn from you and others who love God and marriage.
