Hi, I am also on Facebook and would love to have some VW friends on FB! Feel free to add me, Jen York :)
on Sunday
I am on Facebook... if you want to add me, let me know! I will send a friend request to you. I have my security settings set as high as they will go, due to the type of work that my hubby does.

I have been trying to get my lady friends to join this site instead of Facebook as I have been convicted of Facebook--there is more evil than good on that site and for me--it is sin! I do not want to be exposed to all that is on there. Just my thoug…

Tell us a little about yourself.
I am 26 and have been married to Logan for coming up 6 years. (October).

We have 3 boys. Malachi - 24 July 04, Isaiah - 21 February 06 and Elias - 27 June 08.

What is your favorite Bible Verse?
Isaiah 40:28-31

Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding.
He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

Provers 3:5&6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
What is your favorite book?
I love reading! My favourite christian author is Karen Kingsbury.
Share your testimony with us.
I grew up in a non christian home. My parents were always open to us choosing our life though.
When i was 12 my Dad had an affair and went to be with the other woman, who at that time was a close family friend.
When I was 15 I started dating a guy, but that only lasted a couple months, until the year after I wanted to get back with him so we started dating again. This time he was into sex, drugs, etc. I wanted to feel loved, and he was going to be the guy who gave it to me, even though it was the wrong sort. It turned from me being a goody two shoes to me becoming a depressed person who tried drugs, gave myself to this guy, i gave him whatever he wanted.
At the end of the year of us dating, I became really good friends with a guy who came to our school. He was a christian.
We became really close and one day he asked me if I wanted to go to church with him. I hesitated, but decided to go with him.
The service was about sex before marriage and the effects it could have if you didn't save yourself. It was pretty much my life story that I needed to be forgiven etc etc. At the end of the service Daniel asked if he could pray for me. I said yes. He got a group of friends together and they laid their hands on me and prayed. Right at that moment I felt true love. I was forgiven, the brick wall broke down and I felt happy.
Since that day I have never looked back. God has been so faithful to me, he gave me a husband who forgave me for my past. He loved me for who I was. He has blessed me with 3 gorgeous boys... and only he knows why. (All my life I desperately wanted a baby girl. LOL)

As I am going through my life at the moment God is revealing stuff to me, and reasons why I don't need a baby girl. LOL

Feel free to post a message if you have any questions. This is only a tiny tiny piece of my testimony. I love sharing what God has done in my life.
He is amazing!

Just an update about my week. :-)

Last weekend I went away for the night to our woman's retreat. I love going away with my sisters in God. They are all so amazing and God has really blessed me with such amazing women of God.

Last week I blogged my dream I had, well on the Sunday of our retreat God prompted me to wake up early and get up. It is so easy to do when you are in such a peaceful calm place and you just want to be up early to be with the people you want to learn so much from.

So I got up and while I was having my show… Continue

Organising

Today I bought some little books to organize everything. I have one for Weekly Meal Plans, Daily Planner and Recipes for my meals. I like recipes, but I have so many recipe books I need to compact all my favorites down to one book. :-)

This is going to be interesting... I hope it works. :-D

** Interesting, because when i get excited about this sort of stuff it only lasts a short time and turns out to be a waste of time and money (from buying books etc). I know it will be good in the long run w… Continue

The Little Plane that could....

LOL This is what my hubby could my dream of the night. :)

Throughout my christian life and a bit before God has given me dreams and visions. Last year I had a lady share that my dreams and visions would come back because they had been dormant for a while. She also shared some other stuff that has been happening, but that's not what i am blogging about right now. LOL

This morning I had a dream that my husband and I were in our room and we had a curtain open. It was night time and really… Continue

God's Amazing Grace.

How awesome is our God?? He never stops amazing me, that's for sure.

Baby Elias has started to settle now, I am wondering if it has been my diet that was making him unsettled. This week has been really good. Some nights - not every night - he has been sleeping from about 9pm through to 2-3am. Last night he slept from 9pm through to 3am then from 3.30am right through to 7am. Exactly what I want! But now i need to keep praying that he will settle into a routine like this and keep it. :-) I know i… Continue

Life's Challenges

I don't think I have been challenged by God as much as I am now.

Since Elias was born 5 weeks ago life has been so crazy! He is the hardest baby I have out of the 3 of them. He likes to be held most of the time, he sleeps in our bed with us most nights.
When I feel like I have finally got a routine with him he either has another growth spurt or he becomes really unsettled with a sore tummy.

The last 2 nights I have been up with him until 12am trying to get him to burp, but nothing seems to be… Continue

I am taking Medical Transcriptioning courses, however, I would really like to be teaching. I love school too much, and it is too expensive to keep going. lol, so teaching wuld be perfect. I am also a certified paralegel, which is not handy at all to have. I live in a small rural town in Minnesota, USA, and there is no call for big law firms here. I wanted to do transcritioning because my husband wants to move us all to remore Alaska so he can get a police officer job. The MT would work out well for me then, because that is done from home, anywhere in the country.

My kids don't sleep until around 9pm. We are the type of people that the cycle of energy does not ware off until late. :D

How does one go about scrapbooking? I find I don't have the patience for anything of that calibur. I also don't have much of a knack for photgraphing in the first place. lol, I am one of those mothers that have too much going on. I recently went back to school, and now I seem to have stretched myself too thin. I lost contact with all of my friends that I had, and now it gets a bit lonely. I pray that I will have more of an outlet. lol, so much rambling, I am sorry!!!

Hi there. Wow, it has been awhile since I was here. My kids are 4 1/2, 3 (soon), and 7 months old. I have no idea where the time goes. It seems unreal that we are pushing towards a 1st birthday for the baby already. Thanks about the kids comment. I saw your pictures of your boys, and they are adorable. I prayed for a boy, and when I finally got him, I reliezed that girls are a bit easier than boys when it comes to being premature. And now, as we enter the teething stage, Owen, my boy, still does not sleep all the way through the night. How old were your boys when they decieded to give in to the sleep urge?

Hi!
So far my pregnancy has been awesome! Silly me, I had asked the Lord for a little bit of morning sickness just so fear of miscarriage would stay gone..and now I'm praying scripture whenever I feel gross and it goes away! lol Usually I don't feel sick until the end of the 1st trimester, but this time I started feeling queasy around 6 weeks..I'm 9 weeks and a day now and hoping I'll be done with the morning sickness by the end of the trimester! lol I need to be careful how I pray! lol anyhow, it's going well, except I'm having a bit of trouble getting my sugars regulated and would just like God to make me whole, you know?

I just read your comment and laughed! Thanks! After today I need laughs and hugs!!

A 'club' for mom's who need to get ahold of their kids isn't a bad idea! Another thing we need to do, just made easier by support! :)

Big hugs for you too!

Hi there sweetie! I am happy to hear from ya and to hear that things are ok. sorry you had a bit of a rough time but its nice to hear that you have someone to call to come and help out. maybe elias could spend just a minute in daddy's arms a few time an hr and that could help him to learn that daddy can make it all better too and that daddy is someone that he can relax with. i can not presume to know what will work with your little one since i am not there and he is not my son. i have been taking care of kids/babies since i was 10 but i am by no means an expert, if i was i would have had an easier time when things got a bit hairy with mine LOL. I have a cd that I wish that I could send to ya. some of what is on it did not work with sarah, our 4 month old, but then again it would have or did work with 1 or more of our other kids. the cd was given to me by the hospital in a gift bag with some other things after i had sarah. 1 thing that i have learned over the yrs (decades now, good grief lol) about little ones is that one size does NOT fit all when it comes to techniques and that there is always a ton more to learn about babies. if there is any way that i could send you a copy, i would love to. even if just a little bit of it helps you, you may run into some one that could use it even more. it helps you to put them on a sleep schedule, how to deal with cholic and how to avoid it, etc. what i really loved is that the man speaking on the cd has such a soothing voice and when you are tired and frustrated, it is so nice to listen to! let me know if you are interested.

hi there hun
what has always amazed me is that when i learn a lesson that God has set before me, later on down the line i realize that there was even more for me to learn lol. thank you for adding me to your friends list. whenever you feel overwhelmed or in need of anything i am on here throughout the day and night (especially when my dh is on the ship lol ). if there is anything you need, let me know.
i will be keeping you in my prayers sweetie.
