Hi Audrey! Just thought I would pop in and see how you are all doing! Did your hubby make it back from his cruise yet? I hope you all faired well this wild huricane season :o) I haven't been on much lately due to the morning sickness and the kids and I all sharing a horrible head cold, but we are all better now and the "indian summer" we are having here in Wyoming has been great tree planting weather! I wish things grew here like they do in just about any other part of the nation! We can grow tumbleweeds, sheep and cows and that's about it!lol! Makes it hard to be a farmers wife when theres nothing to farm! ANyway, take care aI hope to talk to you soon!

Hey Audrey =)
So i didn't get nearly as much of my housework done as i was hoping to, i ended up falling asleep and didn't wake up till late. Oh well, hopefully tomorrow will be better housework wise lol. I ended up not getting that other babysitting job because the lady never called or even emailed me. It really annoyed me just because she ask me if i was availble that day and i said yeah. Then she said she would call in the afternoon to get my address and meet up with me. But that never happend. So i decided now if she does call or email i am just going to tell her i am sorry but i don't think it will work out. I hope i find another babysitting job soon, i love being at home and so badly want to stay a homemaker but i may have to go out and get a part time job to help with the income. Keep us in your prayers if you can =) How is your night going? I am about to hit the hay i want to get up early 500am so i can try to have a morning devotional time. I never have tried it before but the chaos to calm group suggested it so i am going to give it a try. Plus i want to have coffee and breakfast ready for when Peter gets home (usually around 6-7am) Anyways, so sorry for yaking your head off lol. I will talk to you tomorrow =)

~hugs~

Hi Audrey =)
I'm so glad that you didn't have to have that akward conversation with the woman you babysat for. I know how you must have felt, i really dread those type of conversations! What type of problems were you having? So today i got yet another email from a woman who wants to know if am available to watch her 3 yr old son and 11 mo old daughter so i pray this will go better than the last one. You said you were making soaps today? I would LOVE to learn how to make soaps but i can never find the ingridients at any of the nearby stores. Speaking of stores i better get off of here i need to walk up to the neighborhood market and get some lettuce. Tonight is taco night =D

Profile Information

Tell us a little about yourself.
I am a SAHM, my dh is a chief in the navy. We are blessed with 4 beautiful children, Lauren-10 Jonathan-8 Wanda-5 and Sarah-4 months and we look forward to our future babies that God will bless us with. We homeschool our children with great joy and pride. My dh is indeed my best friend. We are like girlfriends and "the boys" wrapped up in one lol. We never call each other by our first names , instead I call him Nene and he calls me Nena; it is a generic spanish word meaning a term of enderment ie. honey, sweetheart, dear etc. A lot of the time we refer to each other as buddy or partner in crime lol.
I love cooking, baking, candymaking, needlework, candlemaking, teaching and caring for our home. I like to learn new things, am looking at learning how to make soap, sewing clothes and many other things. I have always had a nack for languages, right now I am teaching the kids Latin as I am learning it. I want to study greek, hebrew, italian and the list goes on. I love gardening and being outdoors a lot. Some of my and nene's best days are spent working together outside.
I love to study history and to research.
What is your favorite homemaking task? Why?
steamcleaning the carpets is my fav task because clean carpets is a quick and easy way to make a room look cleaner in a pinch. ( it also motivates me to deep clean the whole room lol ). when i steam clean every week and keep it up, it takes no longer to do than vacuuming.
Share your testimony with us.
i was living in puerto rico when hurricane georges hit. we had no electricity or clean running water and i was alone with a 5 month old baby ( my husband was stationed on a nearby island). my little girl and i were burning up hot and alone. i had her in my bed with me with the window behind the bed open. the air was hot, heavy and very still. i decided to sing some of the Psalms to calm her down and get her to sleep and it worked. then i began to ask God to help me, a few secs later a gentle breeze came through the window. it felt like a hand softly stroking my hair and my face. bit by bit the breeze grew stronger and the temp. dropped outside and i drifted off to sleep. that evening the electricity came back on and my hubby came back home the next day. thats when i knew for a fact myself that no matter what i do, God will always love me and take care of me.
Do you have any prayer requests?
my hubby's ship has begun the " in and out" bit again leading up to his last cruise. we have 4 kids, ages 10, 8, almost 5, and almost 4 months. even though the kids know this is the last cruise, the constant here and gone wears them down, especially the youngest 2. i am scheduling in more projects and field trips for their homeschooling to help keep them occupied. please keep them in your prayers. thank you

Dh has duty today so he is on the ship. only thing is, looks like they will be pulling out for the storm and he wont get a chance to come home and take care of things around here for the storm. i have been through this more times than i care to count (lol) so i can take care of the yard and etc. He knows that he can trust me to get things done, he just feels better, feels more like he is doing his job as the head of the family. i feel bad for… Continue

grrrrr

Waiting to hear from DH when the ship is out can be maddening!!!! We have been doing this for years now and I am here to tell ya, it does NOT get any easier with time. I miss having my best bud to talk with, I miss hearing about his day and sharing mine with him. I miss joking w/him and cutting up like a couple of kids lol. One thing I really miss is having him here to watch the kids with. We love just sitting back and watching the kids play and interact with each other. I was so happy the other… Continue

teaching self-defense

Growing up with a father as a policeman, I learned many things. Often he would come home and show me a new self-defense move. ( he says now that he was using me as his guinea pig LOL ) As I grew up, I did find myself having to use what he taught me and boy, am I thankful he did! I was also taught how to always be aware of my surroundings and what to recognize as "red flag behavior". I have made sure to teach my children from a very young age how to protect themselves and how to stay aware of wha… Continue

satisfied

i am sitting here reflecting on my life, my family and friends and my blessings. Even though our family was dealt a very hard blow just a week and a half ago, I am very happy with my life and I am satisfied. I know that we will feel this grief for a very long time, but there is so much good going for us.

YHWH has provided for us everything that we have needed plus some. When I prayed for the chance to homeschool, I only had to pray that prayer once! When I prayed and told YHWH that I wanted to… Continue
