Okay, I know I have
started and restarted a hundred and one million times during this
journey in home schooling my girls and life in general; but this time its different. (okay I
have said that to each time, LOL)
I recently went through a lot of live changing events within the last 6
months that 'really' changed me. I did not notice the change or that it
was happening until yesterday. There is something inside me that has
gotten so tire…

I stopped coming to AVW for a long time. I don't even know or understand why; with all that's happened in the past 7 months, it is the one place on the internet I should have stayed. Looking back over my page, it looks like I had posted about my husband coming home from the hospital after his stroke and the separate major problems with my daughter. Life in general was just too much to deal with and I fell into deep depression/anxiety. Today, I am still struggling with that, but one step I am

I know that I am late with this post but "better late than never." The latest faith-based movie about marriage is No Greater Love. This is a great movie about forgiveness, redemption and the power of God's authority in our lives when we are obedient. The movie was released January 17, 2010 and is at most Christian bookstores and of course chain stores. We have our copy and this is definitely something to watch over and over.
BTW Just as Fireproof came with a biblical st

The idea of having a prayer closet is nothing more than a space devoted to
your time of communicating with God without interruptions. Today it
seems that our homes are filled to the brim with our belongings and
there is no place to “build” a prayer closet. Living in Florida I
barely have any clo

My oldest daughter Madeline is home from academy until Sunday. This will be her last time home until April since she will be spending her spring break in Puerto Rico on a mission trip. I will be taking a vacation day tomorrow to spend the day with her. Invited her younger sister to take a mental health day from school but she declined (go figure!). Can't wait until tomorrow--praying the snow h0lds off until later in day so we can get some shopping done!

Had our first womens ministry meeting of the year on Sunday. I was so nervous to be the leader but it went very well. We are currently planning to have a community breakfast brunch and all proceeds will be donated to ADRA (Adventist Disaster and Relief Agency) for Haiti projects. Please pray that the project goes well.

Day 8: Love is best when God is first. "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart." Matthew 22:37.
Loving your spouse more than you love God is a form ofidolatry. Far too many marraiges suffer from this inversion. It places acreated thing higher than the creator. God should always be the first and primary object of our affection. He created us to loveHim, and something unexplanably beautiful happens when we direct all of who we are at delighting in all of who He is. It is proper wors…

Day 7: Love is fertile soil. . . . . .that you being rooted and grounded in love. . . Ephesians 3:17
When we plant a living seed into healthy soil, we expect it to blossom. And just as flowers in a greenhouse are supplied with an ideal environment forgrowth, so a home filled with love provides the ideal atmosphere for people to bloom.
We know that children who grow up in loving families tend to sleep deeper, stand taller, and venture futher than those who are never secure in their parent's lo…
